To succeed, you should have: Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred (or equivalent professional experience) with 5 years of residential property accounting experience managing full-cycle accounting for multifamily portfolios. Advanced proficiency in Yardi, Excel, and Microsoft Word, with demonstrated ability to prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements, reconciliations, and detailed supporting schedules. CPA or other accounting certification is a plus but not required; the role does not require travel and does not have language requirements. Your responsibilities as Senior Property Accountant will include: Manage the full accounting cycle for a portfolio of residential properties, including daily transactions, payables, bank reconciliations, and month-end close in Yardi. Prepare and record journal entries in accordance with GAAP, including accruals, resident ledger adjustments, rent roll reviews, and GPR postings. Analyze and prepare monthly financial statements, schedules, and supporting documentation for internal management, lenders, and institutional investors. Support year-end processes, including tax return preparation, audit requests, and compliance reporting. Collaborate with the VP/CFO, assist Property Managers with accounting issues, and support team members with complex transactions and special projects.
