Job Description:
Description Position Summary Records collections of funds
related to medical services into the accounts receivable system and
in conjunction with the controller determines proper classification
and allocation of related revenues. Maintains control of the
subsidiary ledger of accounts receivable. Assists with recording
other adjustments and reclassifications into the general ledger
under the supervision of the controller. Schedule: Flexible, may
require some evening and weekends Primary Duties and
Responsibilities Receives all collections of funds from the front
desk/receptionist and prepare bank deposit slips. Collects patient
revenue from clinic managers. Prepares allocation worksheets to
record the earned revenue into the general ledger by site,
contract, grant, department, etc. Maintains an ongoing
reconciliation of all open receivables with the actual cash
receipts collected. Monitors customer account details for
non-payment, delayed payments and other irregularities. Assists
with preparing and submitting documents to governmental agencies.
May perform other duties as assigned by the Controller, Finance
Director, or Executive Director. Qualifications Minimum
Requirements Advanced Microsoft Office/Word/Excel/Outlook
experience. Proficient in QuickBooks, SAGE MIP or equivalent
accounting software. Excellent Communication Skills. Ability to
work as a team player and work independently. Ability to lift boxes
of 5 pounds to 15 pounds for storage Reliable transportation Must
be able to travel from facility to facility This position requires
10 % travel outside the local area. Required Education/Experience
and/or Licensure/Certification A/A Degree in Accounting or
Secondary Education, experience may substitute for education 2
years’ experience in Accounts Receivable or bookkeeping Commitment
to goals and philosophy of Northeast Community Clinic Valid State

Category 3 – Involves no regular exposure to blood, body fluids, or
tissues, and tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or
tissues are not a condition of employment. The work is majority of
the time sedentary in nature. The employee is regularly required to
communicate, frequently required to use repetitive motions, move,
remain stationary, regularly push, pull and lift up to 20 pounds
and occasionally push, pull and lift up to 40 pounds. Must possess
mobility to work in a standard office/clinic setting (in some cases
both settings) and to use standard office/clinic equipment,
including a computer, stamina to maintain attention to detail
despite interruptions, read printed materials and use a computer,
and communicate in person and over the telephone.
