We are looking for an LVN to work PM Shift 2:55 pm to 11:30 pm, NOC
shift 10:55 pm-7:30 am. A successful candidate should be flexible,
professional, have a positive attitude, be a fast learner, honest.
Prior nursing experience with Dementia is helpful. Desk duties
include answering phones, checking refills of medications, filing,
interfacing with hospice, watching the floor, checking MD orders,
skin assessments, checking in cycle meds, assisting care staff with
rounds, checking in medications, audits of caregiver charting.
Nurses must be able to lead a shift and care associates. Desert
Hills has been awarded the AFA EIC award 3 consecutive times.
Desert Hills was the 1st community in the state of California to
attain the EIC in 2009. A successful candidate will be able to
assist with maintaining the continuity of these standards and help
the Executive Director implement activities that the residents,
family, Cascade Living Group, and the AFA have come to associate
with Desert Hills.
The candidate will also have strong communication skills as well as
leadership skills. Very STRONG organizational and time management
skills are a must as well! Our community is a fast-paced place, and
we are always on our toes! Previous experience with Alzheimer's
disease and other dementias is highly recommended but will work
with and train the right person. A positive attitude and team
