Responsibilities
We welcome New Graduate Nurses to join our Southwest Healthcare
System team of Professionals in our PCU Department!
We are looking for individuals that have a strong desire to work in
PCU. The RN New Graduate Program - PCU will begin on February 20,
2023 with interviews scheduled in late January 2023. Please submit
a letter of intent along with your resume explaining why you are
interested in working with our Progressive Care Unit!
This is a 12-week training program that provides both didactic and
hands-on classroom learning. We will be selecting candidates for
Inland Valley Medical Center PCU and will require a Full-time
commitment for two (2) years within Southwest Healthcare System,
one (1) year commitment to the department. Shift placement will be
determined based availabilty.
Please be sure to include your RN License number or NCLEX Test Date
on your resume. NCLEX date must be prior to January 20, 2023, to be
considered for an interview if RN license has not been issued.
SWHS consists of two acute-care hospitals: Inland Valley Medical
Center in Wildomar, CA and Rancho Springs Medical Center in
Murrieta, CA.
Inland Valley Medical Center
This campus of Southwest Healthcare System, a 122-bed acute care
hospital, was recently awarded in the Fall of 2018 with an "A"
Grade from the Leapfrog Group as having the highest level of
patient safety as well as the Top General Hospital Award from
Leapfrog (one of only 35 hospitals to earn this distinction
nationwide). Inland Valley is the only hospital in the region to
offer Level II Trauma Services, an Advanced Certified Primary
Stroke Center, the region's only Total Joint Center now with
advanced certification from the Joint Commission for hip and knee
surgery as well core certification for shoulder surgery and is a
nationally recognized center for weight-loss surgery by the
Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality
Improvement Program (Also awarded the Blue Distinction for
outstanding bariatric surgical services).
Rancho Springs Medical Center
This campus of Southwest Healthcare System, a 120-bed acute care
hospital, was recently awarded in the Fall of 2018 with an "A"

nationwide). Rancho Springs features the largest Women's Center

Unit (Rady San Diego: Ranked one of the tops in the nation for
neonatal care by US News and World Report 2018), the only hospital
in SW Riverside County to offer pediatric ER Services from Rady
Emergency Physicians for children 14 years and younger, an Advanced
Certified Primary Stroke Center, and the da Vinci - Robotic
Surgical System performing the region's first virtually no-scar
single site procedures.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Staff PCU Registered Nurses are responsible for providing
excellence in patient care, collaborative and comprehensive care
based on patient and/or family needs, providing assessments,
treatment and care on assigned units. Staff Registered Nurses will
also practice in accordance with all regulatory, professional,
legal and hospital policies as well as consistently demonstrate
behaviors that model the SWHS Core Values and the hospitals mission
statement.
Effective written and verbal communication skills in the English
language.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions,
percentages, area (BSP), circumference and volume.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw
valid conclusions.

Qualifications
JOB REQUIREMENTS
RN's with less than 1-year experience must complete a preceptorship
program.
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EDUCATION
Completion of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
REQUIRED LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONS
Registered Nurse with current California RN license.
BLS certification.
ACLS certification
NIH Stroke Certification to be completed by end of the week of
NEO
CCRN encouraged.
