Join our SWHS Team of Professionals! SWHS consists of two acute-care hospitals: Inland Valley Medical Center and Rancho Springs Medical Center. Inland Valley Medical CenterA 122 bed acute care hospital which features the regions only Level II Trauma Unit and is the county-designated Paramedical Base station and Southwest Riverside County's only Center of Excellence in Weight Loss Surgery. Rancho Springs Medical CenterA 120 bed acute care hospital which includes the region's largest birthing center along with the area's only NICU in combination with Rady Children's Hospital and the region's first da Vinci Robotic Surgical Program. Qualifications

1. ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS O Effective written and verbal communication skills in the English language.O Skilled in handling multiple phone lines.O Basic computer skills.O Medical terminology and basic knowledge of nursing care terminology and function.O Ability to prioritize tasks, promote calm ambience and develop strong interpersonal skills. 2. MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE O One (1) year as a unit secretary in an acute care facility. 3. MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EDUCATION O Medical terminology course preferred 4. REQUIRED LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONS O BLS certification preferred 5. WORK ENVIRONMENT O Subject to many interruptions.O Ability to work with high volume of phone calls.O Subject to fluctuating noise and temperature levels.O Subject to telephone and face-to-face public contact that may involve frustrated or angry physicans and clients.
