Remote Tele Psychiatry Adolescent Mental Health Residential Treatment Locum Tenens Job in Southern CaliforniaDetails/Requirements: Need starts ASAP and ongoing for remote tele psychiatry. ZOOM used for tele health coverage. Need is for approximately five hours a week (depending on admissions) and could increase to as much as 8 hours or more depending on census. Guaranteed five hours a week, including onsite hours, text and phone hours when the facility reaches out with patient-related questions. Facility is a 18 bed co-ed Mental Health program, specializing in Residential Treatment for adolescents (ages 10-17) experiencing severe depression, anxiety, OCD & ADHD, etc. There is co-occurring disorder here and more so on the substance use side and some eating disorder. New patients, one hour for initial evaluations. Thirty minutes for follow up sessions. Will consider adult doctors who are experienced with children and adolescents, ages 10 and up. Flexible regarding days/hours worked between 8am 8pm Monday through Friday. No formal call, meaning you're not expected to go back onsite to see a patient within 30 minutes contact time, but you are expected to respond to all calls, emails and text messages from the facility s staff even on weekends or after business hours on weekdays for which you will be paid for you time at the regular hourly rate. Credentialing includes a TB test, drug test and physical exam and a criminal background check which are required. Must have a live scan in California. Anticipated average length of stay will be 30 to 45 days. Electronic medical record system, so you must be computer literate. Initial assessments need to be done within 72 hours of a patient presenting to the program. Prefer three month minimum assignments.
