We are partnered with an outstanding organization seeking a
talented Human Resources Manager. The Human Resources Manager works
with employees and managers in designated business units to align
corporate goals. In addition to being an employee liaison, the HRM
serves as a consultant to management on Human Resources-related
issues and a resource for employees. The HRM builds collaborations
throughout the HR function to provide management and employees with
value-added services that match the organization's strategic
goals.
*This is a direct-hire opportunity and is onsite.
Core Duties:
- Responsible for recruiting and onboarding new employees for
designated business units.
- Lead Staffing and workforce planning activities for top
personnel for selected business units.
- Constantly assess the needs and skills required to fill
upcoming positions; work with resources to ensure workforce
planning is aligned with needs.
- Meet with the designated business units on a weekly basis.
- Maintain a set time frame for achieving a goal in a certain
area.
- Consult with management providing HR guidance when
appropriate.
- Analyze trends and metrics in collaboration with the HR group
to establish solutions, initiatives, and policies.
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct
effective, thorough and objective investigations.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to
day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and
ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with the legal department
as needed.
- Contribute to the development and execution of business
priorities by providing informed viewpoints about human resources
operations.
- Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line
management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary
actions).
- Work closely with management and employees to improve work
relationships, build morale, increase productivity and
retention.
- Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- Ensure documentation/paperwork is in place for new hires,
promotions, transfers, terminations.
- May assist international employees and related HR matters.
- Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures,
workforce planning, succession planning.
- Identify training needs for business units and individual
coaching needs.
- Participate in the development, evaluation and monitoring of
training programs. Follow-up to ensure training objectives are met
and the program viewed as successful.
- Participate in developing department goals, strategy,
objectives, and systems.
- Build and support the use of best practices for Human
Resources.
- Provide reporting to designated business units regarding
recruitment, reviews, turnover, etc...
- Conduct exit interviews and compile a summary of turnover
data.
- Work on company objectives, special projects, and other
activities as assigned.
What we're looking for:
- Five (5) years' experience in the HR field or any appropriate
combination of education and experience
- Experience in the manufacturing industry highly desired
- PHR or SPHR certification preferred
- A Bachelor's Degree a preferred but not required
- Spanish bilingual skills, a big plus
- HRIS experience required; Paychex or Paylocity a plus
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines
including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis,
employee relations, diversity, performance management, federal and
state respective employment laws.
