Job Description The Sanitation Associate is responsible for
ensuring all plant surfaces and equipment remain clean and sanitary
throughout the shift. This role requires adherence to GMP and SSOP
protocols under the supervision of the Sanitation Manager and
Quality Assurance team, while supporting food safety programs and
USDA requirements. 2nd shift - 1pm to 9:30pm $20.25
Responsibilities Execute GMP and SSOP procedures, ensuring proper
chemical use and safety gear compliance. Follow Lock-out/Tag-out
and IIPP safety protocols, maintaining accurate sanitation logs and
pest control records. Prevent cross-contamination and water damage.
Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and trash areas. Lead by
example in uniform, hygiene, and safety compliance. Assist in water
conservation and equipment preparation. Report equipment
malfunctions or missing parts promptly. Essential Skills Basic Food
Handler certification. Knowledge of food processing. Strong
communication and teamwork skills. Ability to lift 30–40 lbs and
work on feet. Reliable, flexible, and able to work independently.
Excellent attendance and customer service mindset. Comfortable in a
fast-paced environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working with cleaning equipment and chemicals.
Experience working closely with food. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
continuously, 40 lbs frequently, and exert up to 50 lbs
occasionally. Ability to stand, walk, and sit frequently.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting safety and procedure
documents in English; Spanish language skills are a plus. Why Work

within a food manufacturing setting, which includes exposure to
various smells and wet floors. Employees must adhere to GMP PPE
standards. Work involves exposure to extreme temperatures
(35°ree;F–85°ree;F), water, chemicals, and
high-pressure hoses, with continuous contact with sanitation water
(up to 150°ree;F). The environment includes frequent
vibration and moderate noise, working near moving mechanical parts.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out
of Irvine, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is
$20.25 - $21.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits
and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
