Job Summary: Community Relations Director- Job Description As a Community Relations Director, your contributions to the team will include: Building and maintaining relationships with professionals in the senior housing industry• Coordinating and executing on-site events. Guide tours of the community• Sell services and lease apartments to prospective residents and families. Requirements:• 3 years of outside sales experience (senior living preferred, but not required)• Must have ability to travel independently to visit local business & attend functions• Proficiency with Microsoft applications and software• Excellent communication skills, ability to multitask and follow through with complex and detailed projects to completion• Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly. Desert Hills Memory Care is AFA certified-What does that mean? The Alzheimer's Foundation of America (AFA) Excellence in Care (EIC) accreditation consists of a set of standards that are implemented in communities across the nation who care individuals afflicted with the disease. The Excellence in Care accreditation helps communities attain and maintain the highest standards of care for people with Alzheimer's disease. Desert Hills has been awarded the AFA EIC award 4 consecutive times. Desert Hills was the 1st community in the state of California to attain the EIC in 2009. A successful candidate will be able to pass a physical, drug test, and fingerprints. A successful candidate will also be a team player, have a positive attitude, be able to cross train in other areas as needed and be willing to help out in any other department. Must be able to work some weekends as needed. Job Type: Full-time Minimum Eligibility Requirements: Excellent communication skills. Ability to multi-task. Excellent organizational skills. Detail-oriented. Ability to follow through with complex and detailed projects to completion. Computer proficient Essential Primary Functions: Coordinate new move-ins, all necessary paperwork, ordering of all necessary supplies, and activate designated systems upon arrival, etc. relating to move-ins. Coordinate all intra-building transfers as if they were a new move-in Coordinate all move-outs to ensure a seamless experience and ensure rewarding and positive memories for all residents and their families. Issuing of resident keys and keeping a log of # of key sets issued. Maintaining an up to date and accessible record/file of what residents and their families received keys Ensuring the return of keys at move-out. Programming and issuing of pendants for all residents Keeps a master log of which residents have pendants including intra-building transfers Defines in writing the programming process for a backup person Responsible for maintaining an accessible inventory of un-programmed pendants for new residents and provides additional inventory to the business office as needed for replacements Ensuring the return of pendants at move-out Responsible for insuring a photo is taken of all new residents and prints/copies to concierges to maintain their logs. Resident files will be kept in a secure file cabinet.  A spare key will be kept on the MOD key ring. Maintains a shared Outlook Calendar for Marketing functions and use of Conference Room. Assist Life Enrichment in the Ambassador Guild program. Will be the point person to ensure Ambassadors know a move-in has occurred and will be the follow-up point person to ensure acclimation of the new resident. Responsible for the assembling of welcome bags/welcoming gift and keeping a necessary inventory of supplies and engaging the Ambassador guild to participate and will ensure assigned ambassador knows there whereabouts. Ensures a “Welcoming” notice of move-in is prominent displayed in the lobby and there is a welcoming “bouquet” on their apartment door. Will create a detailed checklist and post in designated area for day-of move-in and all Sales and Marketing Associates as well as all MODS. Maintains a digital version of each continuum move-in binder to ensure single file printing to avoid missed pages. Will assign printing of these to concierges ensuring a sufficient inventory. Participates in semiannual resident satisfaction survey Other tasks as assigned by ED, AED, and BOM. Essential Secondary Functions: Is 6th in-line for tours (After DOSM, CRD, ED, AED, and MOD). Follows tour protocol procedures and conduct tours for prospects while on-site at the community. Understand and communicate the Cascade Living Group difference. Continuously educate yourself on the programs offered in all departments for improved selling results. Attend and contribute to Daily Stand Up meetings, keeping a focus on Census Ensure that there are adequate brochures and move-in packets ready for tours and move-ins.
