Description:Develop components or subsystems for transcatheter heart valves and delivery systems inaccordance with quality system requirements. Design and document components and subsystems. Procure components. Develop assembly procedures. Conduct engineering analysis and feasibility testing of components of subsystems to ensureproper fit and function. Partner with Quality to conduct risk analysis and develop and execute design verificationactivities. Partner with Manufacturing to develop manufacturing procedures and processes and transfer the product to external manufacturing houses.Skills:Medical device, R&d, New product development, product design, class iii medical devicesTop Skills Details:Design and development experience of a Class III product Understanding of packaging materials used for designing packaging for transcatheter heart valves and/or delivery systems.Understanding of design and testing requirements of packaging for transcatheter heart valves and/or delivery systems.Working knowledge of medical device packaging standards for heart valves and delivery systems (i.e. ASTM D642, D999, D3951, D4169, D4332, D4728, D4991, D5276, D6344, D6653, F88/F88M, F1886, F1929, F1980, F2096, ISO 11607-1/-2) is a plus but not a requirementAdditional Skills & Qualifications:A Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering (or equivalentengineering degree) is required. 3 - 5 years of experience in Research & Development is required. Knowledge of the product development process and applicable Quality System requirementsin the medical device industry is required. Must be able to work effectively and collaborate within cross functional teams.
