Join our SWHS Team of Professionals!

SWHS consists of two acute-care hospitals: Inland Valley Medical Center and Rancho Springs Medical Center.

Inland Valley Medical Center

A 122 bed acute care hospital which features the regions only Level II Trauma Unit and is the county-designated Paramedical Base station and Southwest Riverside County's only Center of Excellence in Weight Loss Surgery.

Rancho Springs Medical Center

A 120 bed acute care hospital which includes the region's largest birthing center along with the area's only NICU in combination with Rady Children's Hospital and the region's first da Vinci Robotic Surgical Program.

As a staff member providing support expertise you will be responsible for providing excellence in patient care and customer service by sharing your talent in your chosen field. Staff will also practice in accordance with all regulatory, professional, legal and hospital policies as well as consistently demonstrate behaviors that model the SWHS Core Values and the hospitals mission statement.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS

Current knowledge of all JCAHO, DHS, State and Federal rules, regulations, and requirements.

Understands problem solving processes and their application in the clinical setting.

Understands community standards of care, practice, and hospital policies and procedures.

In-depth knowledge of Blood Gas Laboratory accreditation requirements. Works in conjunction with Medical Director and Lab Director to assure compliance.

Maintains Age-Specific Competencies for all staff members based upon the current menu of services provided at SWHCS.

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

Minimum 2 years supervisory or management experience in a medically related Department.

Minimum 5 years Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP)

Minimum 5 years acute care experience

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EDUCATION

Associates Degree required, Bachelors Degree preferred.

Graduate of a COARC approved Respiratory Therapy Program

REQUIRED LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONS

Current RCP license from the State of California required.

Current BLS required

Current ACLS required within 30 days of hire.

Current NRP required within 30 days of hire

Current PALS required within 30 days of hire.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Busy environment with shifting and evolving priorities.

Subject to varying and unpredictable situations.

Occasional pressure due to multiple calls, inquires and interruptions.

Occasionally subject to irregular hours.

Flexibility with variable census volumes.

Moderate to Highly stressful environment, dependant on patient load and physician requests.

Multi-site responsibilities may be required.

Reliable transportation and requirements to visit multiple sites on a daily basis.

Potential exposure to Bio-Hazardous Materials.

Works closely with Committees, Medical Director, and various other Physicians.
