Job DescriptionGeneral Description: Under the direction of the Vice President of Properties, the Seasonal Janitor provides a wide range of janitorial and maintenance duties for council owned properties.Reports To: Vice President of Properties or their designeeEssential Functions:

• Provide janitorial and maintenance services to council properties and buildings. This includes: cleaning surfaces, sweeping, emptying and relining trash cans, mopping, disinfecting, scrubbing toilets, restocking supplies, operating clothes washer and dryer, and dusting.
• Mixing and using various cleaning agents per written directions.
• Cleaning windows and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges and squeegees.
• Move cleaning supplies, equipment and/or furniture.
• Identify and report possible repairs.
• Perform work safely around other staff and campers.
• Maintain security and integrity of property at all times. Use and maintain council equipment and keys in a responsible manner.
• Assist groups with use of properties and equipment and open or close campsites as required.
• Assist in identifying and minimizing hazardous or safety concerns at council properties and provide needed work as assigned.
• Ensure that sites conform to stat and/or county health and safety regulation, legal requirements and/or codes in addition to preventing and minimizing fire danger.
• Assist on-site Ranger with simple maintenance projects and moving of materials.
• Coordinate work schedule and daily priorities with on-site Coordinator.
• Demonstrate and promote a climate of courtesy and professionalism to coworkers, the volunteers served by the council, and others.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
