Job Description We are urgently seeking hard-working, self-motivated, and fun-loving dog lovers to join our team at DogonFun as Kennel Attendants Candidates must be eager to learn, be able to work in a fast paced environment, be comfortable with and able to restrain/lift dogs of all sizes, and have reliable transportation. As a Kennel Attendant/ Canine Companion, you will be working very hands-on; providing one-on-one exercise/enrichment for the canines, cleaning, record keeping, feedings, nap times, medication administration, baths, and completing health checks (checking over body, ears, gums, paws, etc.) Grooming experience is a plus, but not necessary. The position is physically demanding and requires you to be on your feet for long periods of time. A successful candidate will be a significant canine lover, pay excellent attention to detail, set and maintain high standards for sanitation and cleanliness, have the exceptional ability to multitask, and manage their time. We are requiring reliable individuals to have a positive attitude, great communication skills, a good work ethic, and a willingness to roll up their sleeves and get sweaty Required Qualifications: - Must be at least 18 years of age - High School Diploma or equivalent - Must be willing to work holidays, weekends, and/or early mornings - Computer literacy (Word, Excel, email, etc) - Ability to lift 50 lbs - Comfortable handling dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personality types - Experience working or volunteering in either a kennel, shelter, rescue, or veterinary facility (preferred) Work Location: on-site - Covina, CA Job Type: Part-time Pay: From $14-17 per hour (based on experience) commission Shift availability: ranges from 4-8 hours Job Perks: free daycare, boarding and baths for your own dog(s) commission for some sales. Pet food and supplies can also be purchased at cost.
