Job Description Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Technician
Job Type: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Temporary, Internship
Company Overview Advanced Environmental Group, Inc. (AEG) is a
leading environmental, health, and safety consulting firm serving
clients across various industries. We are seeking a motivated and
detail-oriented Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Technician to
join our Southern California team. This role offers a blend of
office and field work, with opportunities for growth and hands-on
experience in environmental due diligence, compliance, and
industrial hygiene. Key Responsibilities Conduct historical and
current use research of properties for environmental impairment.
Perform environmental assessments and present findings and
recommendations to clients. Conduct field investigations to assess
contamination in soil, soil gas, and groundwater. Collect samples
including soil, groundwater, asbestos, lead, and mold. Prepare
detailed reports documenting findings, conclusions, and
recommendations. Perform industrial hygiene assessments and
third-party oversight. Support EHS compliance projects, including
site assessments and subsurface investigations. Conduct on-site
field inspections and investigations in construction and industrial
settings. Qualifications Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s
degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Geology,
Engineering, or related field preferred. 0–5 years of experience in
environmental consulting, construction, or related field. Strong
writing, analytical, and data interpretation skills. Proficiency in
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel). Valid CA driver’s license
with a clean driving record. Flexibility to work nights and
weekends (up to 25% of the time). Preferred Certifications Required
or ability to obtain: DOSH Certified Site Surveillance Technician
(CSST) CDPH Lead Sampling Technician Preferred: DOSH Certified
Asbestos Consultant (CAC) CDPH Lead Inspector/Assessor or Project
Monitor 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER EPA AHERA Asbestos Inspector
Certification Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
and work in physically demanding environments. Comfortable working
on ladders, scaffolds, and uneven surfaces. Capable of kneeling,
crouching, crawling, and performing repetitive motions. Must be
able to work in environments with noise, dust, fumes, and limited
